Steww - I've enjoyed the flavor of tahini in other hummus that I've made, but for this particular recipe, the slight bitterness that the tomatoes take on from caramelization is enough and I think tahini would add too much additional bitterness.

I love hummus - this is absolutely going to be made this weekend, thanks for sharing. One question. I always use tahini in my recipe, is it omitted here because of the extra stuff you've added or are you not a fan?

Allen - Freudian slip perhaps? A comical one to imagine taken literally. Thanks for the catch.

I made this last night! The lemony-ness makes it super delicious. There is no comparison to fresh hummus. I served it on the side of a baked potato and sauteed broccoli. simple, quick, easy, healthy, and tasty. One suggestion for the blog, perhaps try putting the ingredient list at the top to help us prep. xo -Seth
