I also often get bread questions on my blog. I love the taste of both orange and anise, so I'm definitely going to give this recipe a try. I'll let you know how it goes. :)

Emily - You don't need a pizza stone to bake bread, but using one will improve your end results. Pizza stones are very porous and they get very hot, helping develop crust on the bottom. If you don't have one, all is not lost. Flip over a baking sheet and preheat it in the oven and bake your bread on that.

This looks beautiful! I've been really into making bread lately, but one thing I don't have is a pizza stone. Do you think it would be good to use one when making any bread at home?

Gorgeous!

I'm glad you figured out how to do without the orange flower water. It was the ingredient that stopped me from trying this recipe myself.

Drool inducing photos of that gorgeous bread. It looks like you achieved an awesome, chewy texture--just what I'm usually after when I bake bread.
